Poll Question
I've always considered the 1954 "devils face" notes to be a variation and not a different series. is it actually looked at as being a variation by other collectors? am I able to say my collection is complete without having all the devils face notes?

Results

yes, the devils face notes are a separate series 52% 17 Votes
no, the devils face notes are a variation of the 1954 notes 48% 16 Votes

If anything, it would be a separate series....there is a series of them, but its definitely not a variety!!

The original 1954 series were the devil face notes. That being said, if any note of the 1954 series were to be called a variation it would be the "modified" as the devil face notes were issued first.

Like wireman said, the devils head notes were issued in 1954, and modified notes were released in 1956.

I collect by denomination......So to com plete a set doesn't really matter to me...I will probably never get the 50. or 100.oo's in Devil or Modified.......I sometimes collect by signature as well.............Try to get all sign't for a denomination.. So again Series is important but not the whole Series..........
