I picked up this Peace dollar this week. I keep looking at it, and it seems to look pretty good ... in hand.

I am thinking that is there was a chance this could be graded as a MS coin, I would put into a pile of coins I would like to send in.

There is the problem that my pictures never look as good
as the coin does in hand. But I thought I would ask other members opinions.

In hand the reverse looks better than the obverse.

Tough call but I think you've got a shot at it. These get a bit pricey in Mint State; it's a good coin to challenge the system with. Lots of upside.

Border line on this one, I'm leaning towards AU-58.

I think some of you are seeing the same thing I am seeing.

After the first of the year I hope to sign up for .. I think NGC.
Looks like this will be one of the considerations to go in first.

Like SuperDdave said .. there is a lot of up side, if this coin
would grade in the MS grades.

Yeah, it's like Lobby's 1899-S posted elsewhere - some coins you just have to take the chance on.
Rest in Peace

I'm seeing circulation. To what degree I can't tell from these photos for sure, so I'll say AU55/58

Hard to call it but I'd give it a AU-55/Au-58 because I think I see some wear. Otherwise a MS-61.

Magnificent strike! A bit of chatter on both sides that I think might push it to an AU-58 grade.

Worth submitting? Yes, IMO.

There is some chatter, yes. But I still think it is MS63. Just my opinion. A very nice coin.
