I found roughly 100 Mercury dimes that was in a box from my great grandpa. The are mostly mid to late 1930s. Is there much value here besides the silver. They are in ok shape. Thanks.

From your description, most likely melt value, but pictures would provide better answer.

Pictures are needed. If most are 30's it's possible they pulled from circulation in the 30's meaning they could be better than average circulated.

Here is a picture I took with my phone. I would say this is the average shape the dimes are in.

30-S 31-D 31-S 34-D 36-S 39-S Those are the more better ones, and if there's any remote chance you have a 32 or 33 dime...!

1923-D or 1930-D would be sweet too !

I was going to mention the 30-D but we all know this coin, although rare, is not authentic. Lets not confuse Okie. I do see some mintmarks on some of the pictures. There could be something there.

It's his great Grampa, you never know what he might've found way back. A Russian counterfeit would be worth some big bucks I would imagine.

Though you didn't mention dates this old, the key dates in the Mercury dime series are 1916-D (few hundred dollars even in well worn condition), 1921 (no mintmark) and 1921-D. The 21 and 21-D are not nearly as valueable as the 16-D, but are still probably worth $40 or more a piece in most conditions.
