Boy, this topic puts things into focus.
Well, sell off/trade coins which no longer please me, in favor of coins which do.
And remain open to the occasional coin that is not on my want list
but speaks to me. Got an 1875 CC Twenty Cent Piece that way.
I have two dealers dealers searching for me.
It is a lot easier for me all around.
I am often surprised. And pleased.

My goals are to maintain my current "sets" ASE's, silver proof sets, proof commemorative dollars. Next I will strive to add to my classic commemorative set, (eight missing), 1928 Peace dollar, $1 gold coins for my 7070, and quality upgrades for my Walking Liberty halves.

Bring my CBH date set up to point where it only lacks the 1815, and do it with quality, slabbed PCGS and NGC crusty busties.

Also to find a decently priced, ORIGINAL surface 1861-P Double Eagle in PCGS or NGC to bring closure to my Double Eagle collection.

Also find a pleasing 1913 Canadian $10 gold to complete that set.

My goal is to dispose of world duplicates and banknotes and perhaps buy some commemorative medallions, tokens or medieval coins.

My goal is to get back the house I 2nd mortgaged to buy coins. Oh and to starting paying back one of the 38 credit cards I've maxed to buy coins. Then I'm hoping to see if my wife and children will take me back. It would be kind of nice if my dog forgave me too.

But if I can't hit my goals I'm not going to let it get me down, at least I have my coins to look at ;)

I would like to finish off my Roosevelt dime set (I need 5). I'm also going to focus a bit more on Mexican coins, specifically the 1 and 2 centavo series. I'm close to having the centavos from 1906-1972 done and the 2 centavos is a short set so I might get those done. I started collecting second republic centavos (1863-1905) by variety (there's a ton of them) so I'll try to add as much as I can. If I have any time (or money) left, I'll pick ip whatever reales (1/16 to 8) catch my eye.

I'd like to fill a few more holes in my Dansco 7070 album and a few more in my extended type set. A Small Eagle Bust dollar would be nice. I'd also like to start setting aside some $ in bullion.

Too make more progress with my 7070.

I started it in 1993, but went from April 2001 to October 2010 without adding a single coin.

In 2010 I added one. In 2011 I added one. In 2012 I added two. In 2013 I added three.

My goal for 2014 is to add at least four, but I would like to add as many as possible. There are 13 holes left.

Coins (worldwide) currently 12,735: would like to reach 12,900 although 13,000 would be fantastic but stretching it a bit.

Banknotes (again worldwide) currently 3,395: so 3,500 is definitely reachable.

Funny thing is because I'm on an island in Asia I get more opportunities to purchase banknotes than coins. Funny old world innit?
