Well, it may seem like it, but if they were going to stage one, why not make rare Wheat penny finds or a wheel barrow load of silver? They did find the bag of silver, but the wheel barrow load was mostly clad.

I've buried a plastic milk jug before when I was a kid. They don't last very long, certainly not 40 years.

The bright coins and loose dirt were because there was a 5 gallon jug of glass that was there. That is also why the dollar bills survived.

I know a doomsdayer in Texas that buried his gold and silver coins in a sealed 4 ft long piece of 4" PVC pipe. After 5 years he decided to check on his "buried treasure" and dug up the pipe. He popped open the end cap and water poured out. His nice slabbed coins weren't as nice as they used to be and a lot of the coins were developing the crud.

The story in the videos is crap designed to reel you in.

Man! Why even slab a coin if you're going to bury it?!

Too good to be true.

If it is real, then wow.
I cant honestly think of a reason why anyone would bury so many coins loose. I could understand the bottle more.

Oh well, its a detectors dream I guess, although as someone previously stated, would be good if all silver... or gold!!

Wasn't very well sealed. PVC pipe will last 50+ years buried.

The deal with the loose change did seem strange. However, if you notice, they talk a little bit in the video about glass laying around it. It ends up all of the change was in a huge class container, which got broke. That also explains why the bills looked good.
