Am getting turned off by the $100+ ebay prices. Is there another source online that I'm missing? Not looking for anything special...just average circulated mixed. Thanks. Ed

online dealers that I have purchased coins from in the past:
- one place has rolls for $180 plus s+h
- one place has rolls for $185 plus s+h
or
APMEX is lowest that I found average circulated at
Qty Check or Wire Credit Card
1 - 9 $94.78 $97.62
10 - 19 $92.28 $95.05
20 or more $89.78 $92.47

Thanks guys. Yeah, I think a coin show is probably the ticket. I know we have 1 or 2 small ones per year here in the Syracuse area. Thanks. Ed.

A coin show would be where you are most likely to have the best luck

Not a 'where' but a 'how much' answer:
The December issue of the Coin Dealer Newsletter shows
Mercury dimes, avg. good or better at bid/ask - 75.00/82.00 and
Mercury dimes, XF/AU at bid/ask - 115.00/125.00

Add the mark up and the shows are perhaps better than online.

Naturally pending the coin show, you should find Mercury dimes at the lowest possible prices. And if the show is large enough, might get to know a dealer that specializes in those and could get you a really decent price.
