My wife got me a Julius Caesar coin for X-mas!
I am loving this thing!

Julius Caesar. 49-48 BC. AR Denarius. CAESAR in exergue, elephant right, trampling on serpent (barbarians serpent/dragon horn?) / Simpulum, sprinkler, axe topped with "wolfs head?" and priest's hat.
Military mint traveling with Caesar.(I think) Still researching:) Any help with better attribution and history is always appreciated:)

21.5 mm. 3.67 grams
Sear 1399, RSC 49

Very nice. I've never seen a better elephant on one of these, either.

Caesar enjoyed wild beasts - he brought the first Giraffe to Rome and displayed it in the forum - took quite a few attempts before one survived the trip back. must've been quite a sight for the citizens. They called it a Camelopard.
