After searching for about an hour, I've decided to go the easy way and come here. The text, "NOT ONE CENT" is common enough, but the obverse seems rather unique.

This one on ebay seems similar so I have hope it's not a copy.

Thanks

Is there a good Civil War token reference site?

yours is in good condition, the one on ebay has been damaged by someone trying to take "NOT" off the reverse.

Fuzzy - thanks for the ID and the site reference. I've bookmarked it.

From what I've read about this token, it's a R-2. That surprised me a little bit since the obverse is so unique.

I checked your want list. I have a 1968 Viet Nam Cong Hoa 10 Dong if you need it.

Whew. When I came back to look for this thread I thought maybe I'd violated some rule by offering you that Vietnamese coin. I was going to just send it gratis since it cost me nothing. My daughter spent 7 months in SE Asia earlier this year and brought back a bunch of miscellaneous coins she bought for a pittance at an open air market. That was the only 1968 one in the bunch.

I was not an issue with offering the coin. There is a section for Identification: Unidentified Coins, Medals, and Tokens and after they are identified we try to move them if they fit somewhere specifically. Then experts in that field might give opinions or ask further questions.
