I am getting a nice VF Half Cent for my 7070 saw some nice ones in the $75-85 range last time I was in the coin shop but I'll have a little extra to spend.

Temptation is to get another coin for my 7070 like a Half Dime I saw last time I think an 1871 in a VF condition or to buy a couple albums. I saw 2-3 Dansco albums in there used selection for $10 each all sets I want to do eventually. They had the dollar date set (morgan to peace and I think Ike), a franklin and a silver eagle album. When I am done with my 7070 I was thinking of doing those sets next. Hard to pass up on used albums as you never know if they will be around when you want to buy them and you save like $15-20 buying them used.

Or do I go with finishing a couple of my cheaper sets that I was just doing for fun. I started a Sacagawea set just a P&D so the coins are like just $2-3 a piece and I am missing 5 years. I started the National Parks P&D quarter set but I got the P&D just for 2010 and then I did D on the rest of the years so I need the rest of the P's. And I have been doing the presidential P&D set but all I got for this year was the first 3 presidents in P and I need all 4 d's and the last P. I mean all those sets could probably be brought current.

Or do I get 2-3 of the last missing coins I need for my little boys Whitman 20th century type set. I am just 6 coins from finishing that set.

Or do I get a couple more governmental bullion for the set I am starting there like the Austrian Philharmonic or the Austrailian Kooka Burra.

Decisions Decisions Decisions. The only think I know for sure I am going to get is the Half Cent unless of course a capped bust half or maybe a 20 cent piece entices me for my 7070.

Anyone else looking forward to spending some Christmas cash :)

An apt name, sirdizzy!
Why not just put the cash aside for a few days?
That is, unless you fear that the Half Cent will be sold.
With any extra cash buy an inexpensive coin for the boys.

"... I have wanted a Half Cent for quite some time those are glaring holes in my set as I don't have any yet."

THAT'S your answer!

I drive the coin lady crazy I will have her take dozens of coins out of the cases and then make a stack on the counter and then go through them and compare and decide which catches my eye the most and then just buy 1 or 2 of them.

I am pretty sure the stack will have Half Cents, bust halves and or quarters and maybe a 20 cent piece in it tomorrow.

I went with a 1833 XF Half Cent for $80 thought it was a pretty good value and like the appeal of the coin (I was debating between this and 1808 Half Cent in VG grade that I also really liked). I then got a dansco album for Franklin half dollars and an 1963 Franklin in MS64 to start the set with.
