What is your canadian numismatic goal for 2014, I'll get the ball rolling. My numismatic goal for 2014 is a 1948 silver dollar. Feel free to add an image if you like.

I want to get ride of a bunch of nclt and work on my silver dollar set. I find my collection is going in a thousand different directions I will try and stream line it a bit, from now on no nclt that is not based on circulation currency ( unless its real pretty.... lol ) So I'm just going to buy all the PR sets and specimen sets and PL sets and ..... Yup another expensive year coming up. I will also probably keep buying one oz silver world coins as they come out I seem to be hooked on them especially the ones with 2000 and less mintage So much for streamlining

I am continuing to move away from high-end collecting and back to my roots as a collector of problem-free circulated coins with eye appeal. I'm pretty tired of the glitzy end of things and just want to collect like I did when I was a kid.
I'm hoping to trade in a bunch of my higher-end stuff for a nice circulated 1921 5c at the FUN show with any luck....

1. To finish grading, organizing and inventorying everything we have. 2. To release all the duplicates and coins that have been upgraded back into the wild. 3. To come up with a definitive list of what we're still missing.

The goals will be combination of Falcon's and kuh_85's : 1. Complete organize and inventorize the collections. 2. Get rid of impulsive and not necessary NCLT purchases. 3. Very limit purchases of RCM's (RAM's) NCLTs - concentrate mostly on the NCLT based on the circulation and bit of "animal" theme. 4. Continue bullion annually changing design only (1.5oz RCM, Koala, Kookaburra, Panda, Somalian Elephant) 5. Continue with the RCM commemorative "PL" packs (like quarters, loonies, toonies). 6. The most fun and hard: to find interesting staff in change. No duplicates, no "future profits"...only one each time.

I am in the process of doing a complete renovation of the basement which also includes moving the bathroom over 10 feet.
To celebrate the completion of this project I am actually going to frame one issue of each denomination of each series going back to 1937.... as my first piece of art that will go into the basement.
I will also be working on still trying to aquire as many pennies as possible.. nothing MS.. just regular circulated pennies.. I like 'em they're cheap and make for great little science projects.
Finally I'm going to work on extending my 50 cent collection. I just picked up my first Vicky for Christmas and I'm really motivated to start working on a complete date set.

kuh: I tried to look for pics but couldn't find any....
I forgot to add one other item that is a goal of mine.... I'm having a daughter (actually in about 3 -4 weeks) So my plan is to pick up one oz of 2014 Year of the horse gold coin... I figure there's a lot of cost up front.. but will save me some grief when my girl later on asks me to buy her a horse I can actually say that I already did! :D
