This is by far one of my most favorite coins. Anyone have one of these to share pic with?

Asking me to pick just one coin as my favorite is like asking someone which one of their children they like best. You may like one more than the other at certain times but in the end you love them all

I think looking at everyone's avatar also answers this question. I know in my case it does.

Spud, love your half, one of my favorites too.
I had a thread once on your top ten or twelve favorite coins; maybe it's time to revisit a similar thread.

Very nice coin with XF detail. No rim issues and plenty of eye appeal. I can see why it would be one of your favorites. I have many favorites including a few Seated halves with O mint marks. But none have rays. :( Edit: Spelling

Very, VERY nice coin. I think a seated half with rays might just be my next purchase because of this. But partly because I was already considering it as of a few days ago. Some may love their children all the same but not me. I have a 1794 large cent that I just can't get enough of. But then again, I hardly have any really nice expensive coins. (And by expensive I mean $100+) So that may be a factor most of these guys are unknowingly weighing in.

I'm not so liking the side with the sitting woman, but the side with the eagle is very eye-catching. There are no big fields of empty space; the design fills up the coin very nicely. The details look accurate to what they're trying to portray. It is technically a well designed coin, in my opinion, but I would've picked a different "heads" side.
To those who heavily collect this coin: is this design susceptible to lots of die cracks or other deformities? I ask because of the empty field on one side and the evenly spaced flow of the eagle and rays on the other, such that the opposing dies may squeeze the metal at weak points. I see this regularly with Mexican coinage with their distinctive denticles, specifically the .720 fine peso from the 1930s. Thanks.

I have a few favs but my most sentimental is a beat up worn 1899-O Morgan that I have that used to belong to my grandmother. It's the coin that got me going when I was a kid.

I've considered doing the entire 1853 set. Can get pricey in MS65 though. ;-)
