What would the grades be for the following? These were all shot through flips. I think there's a rotation on the 1948 quarter. Hope the pics are clear enough. Thanks in advance.

Thanks zxcccxz. In terms of value, is it better to have a PL than an MS?

Depends on the year. Early 50's PL are probably more difficult to find than MS. During the 60's, the Mint just pumped out PL sets.

As examples, coinsandcanada shows the 1963 in PL65 as worth $13, and MS65 as $60. On the other hand, the 1948 in SP65 is $880 and MS65 is $550.

I don't know how the big fingerprint on the 48 affects grade/value, but otherwise it looks very nice. I see a couple bag marks on the reverse jaw, so maybe MS64?

Thanks all. Hey kbbpll, is there any way of eliminating or reducing fingerprints? Does acetone work?

Kafka, I don't know the answer for sure, since I've never used acetone or anything else. But from what I've read elsewhere, I don't think anything removes fingerprints without also damaging the surface.

All the 63s PL-65 or better the 1948 looks like MS-65 if not better all very nice coins. P.S. do not try to remove finger print cleaning will destroy the surface forever.

Kafka,it looks like more than a fingerprint on the reverse,is it just the lighting or is that a spot of solder?
"Dipping" is not considered cleaning...

DBM, the 1948 has been in the flip for at least 40 years.
