There is a small story behind this piece which I acquired from Lighthouse Numismatics about 5 years ago I think. The coin was submitted with hopes for MS62 but ICCS came down hard on it. I think that the original owner may have suffered a financial loss and threw in the towel. I just happened along at the right time and traded a whole bunch of stuff to acquire the coin. It cost me about 105% of Trends at the time but sometimes one has to pony up the dough for the nice stuff. I'd do it all over again if I had to. Report this Post to the Staff

I have knowingly paid a LOT than that in terms of TRENDS percentages just to pick up a piece that I really wanted. I know I will NEVER recoup what I paid..(a bit silly I know) but I wanted that coin.... (the coin I speak of will be posted in this thread a little later on.... 1946 ) You have something VERY special IMO there.... so cherrish it... and that extra % you paid ... well you reap that in what I call "owner satisfaction".. can't get it back monetarily... but who cares..!
