About a month ago I went to the bank, got $8 to $12 in nickels and while sorting through the second roll I found a doubled 2008 nickel.

Anyone know what its worth?

Someone offered me $25 for it.

As far as I'm concerned, there have been no D/Ds since the bison, peace & O.I.V. in '05.

CoinCollector2000 and others, Liberty and 2008 seem to be doubled, and the 2008 looks stronger. Five Cents is doubled (look at the EN in CENTS for best example of doubling). trust is slightly doubled. and United States of America the letters get much bigger from top to bottom (look at the T's in STATES for best example), is United States of America weakly struck?

Hopefully you realize now that the person who did so does not understand what they were looking at ...

This is a 'normal' mint product that experienced some bounce in the minting process ... not an error or variety worthy of a premium above face value ...

Worth five cents.
