Some ebay listing doesn't have any return policy. But if you email the seller asking this questions via 'Ask seller a question' feature and the seller responds saying eg. 7 day return policy How valid is this email? Can seller refuse to accept return since its not listed in his ebay listing?
Doesn't ebay has the potential to monitor communications between the buyer and seller? I've heard of times when a buyer and seller strikes a deal and doesn't complete thru ebay, they would send a warning?
However when you bid on an item you are agreeing to a contract. That contract is the "item description".
If someone is Not listed on the page of the item then it is not in the contract and the seller has no obligation to honor anything he said outside of that contract. It's bad for business but unfortunately most people don't really care.
