Any ideas on a value of this coin? I've been looking all over ebay and coin websites but cannot find another with the 20 year privy mark.

I know gold is listing at $1205/ounce US today ($1279 Canadian). I'm not sure if there is much of a premium on this issue. What premium there is would probably be offset by the sell price.

Yours is with hologram?

I found this one but 0.5 oz. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1999-GOLD-C...330919458772

If it's that, they were part of a set, issue price was $4,500 for the 5 coin set.

I sure like the look of the hologram coin. Mine is a normal strike, no hologram. I've been watching every couple weeks on ebay for the last year or so and have not seen one listed.

THIS is what this guy thinks it is worth. Doesn't seem to be much action on it.

According the Charlton Vol 2., all 627,067 of the 1999 regular issue GML had the 20 years privy. I doubt there is much premium.

Here is a recent 30 day listing from a US dealer for up to 20 coins that ended unsold. They didn't sell any at what appears to be $100 over spot.

Is it just me or does the coin mentioned above appear not to have the same background finish as the bullion version?

Thanks for the help everyone, I've wondered for a while and now I know. As for the background it must just be the picture. It has the same background finish as my other maple leafs, only difference being the privy mark.
