So...your saying what he didn't say is what he said? At this time we do know the mint is using the laser on proof commemorative coins - and nothing else after the enhanced ASE.

Silvertowne is now selling NCG graded bullion ASEs with the ( S ) label. No ( W ) label on their website, I wonder if the TPGs are going to have just the ( S ) and no mint mark labels this year? They don't have any PCGS ( S ) labels at this time, but I assume they won't be too far behind.

I didn't see any labels with a (W) on it, the ones I saw were " no mint mark " labels. Are you saying that PCGS put out a holder with (W) on it as well as the " no mint mark" labels? I assume the ones with no mint mark are from WP, but I guess there is no way to tell for sure.

Yup, I remember when they were in pre-sales there were questions about why the (S) coins were not listed as pre-sales also. They have been available for a couple of weeks at least...

I just check and found out that APMEX has all 3 PCGS holders now.
They want $55.63 for no mint mark
$56.16 for the (W) label
$76.93 for the (S) label

I heard that the (S) coins aren't grading as high, so I assume that is the reason for the higher price.

As I understand it the S coins started to pick up the slack for WP when they got overwhelmed. If they were busy doing something else SF could have just started earlier to get some out. If they ever get caught up the S should stop though unless theyve just decided they want a mixture of each now

Has anyone bought both the (W) and the (S) bullion coins? If so, have you compared the coins? I can see a difference again this year in the coins coming from different mints. It happened last year as well. I have 2 ms70 coins from (W) that look very similar and one ms70 from (S) that looks different from the other 2 coins. Again the (S) coin has more of a silver frost this year. Just curious if anyone else has compared the coins from different mints this year and what they have seen.

Bullion coins do not have mint marks, that is why the (W) is in parentheses. Only Burnished/UNC coins have a W mint mark and that would appear as 2014-W on the slab.

The West Point (W) Mint mark is also on the 2014(W) Proof. You're spot-on... the only coins that don't have a mint mark are bullion. I know the term 'uncirculated' is used to refer to Burnished coins, but technically there aren't any circulated ASE's... is that just semantics ping-pong?

Trust me, bullion ASEs circulate. Not at face value, but they get around. I have bought quite a few from various locations that show quite a few miles on them. They are more bartered than they are used at face.
