I am working on an Australian type set which I have pretty much figured out and almost completed (need a 1910 florin, ag or better), but also decided to go ahead and do all of the circulation dollars and two dollars (don't you have a better name than "two dollar coins"? something like the Canadian's "twonie") but am running into trouble knowing what is what. Thought I had it figured out until I checked Ken Polsson's type collecting site, and have the following descrepencies between his list and mine, so: He shows a 1992 MOB that I don't show. I show both a 1994 and 1995 MOB, he shows neither. Neither of us shows a 2007 MOB. Was there one issued for circulation? He shows all of the following issued for circulation while I don't: 2005 Gallipoli 2006 TV 2007 Harbour Bridge 2008 Eureka 2008 Quarintine 2008 Coat of Arms 2009 Citizenship Also, what if any dollars were issued for circulation in 2012 and 2013?

The 94-95 MOR's were issued for circulation and in large numbers. There was no 1992 or 1997 MOR issues. Only the 2005 Gallipoli ( dancing Man) coins was issued for circulation , Mintage of 31,788,000 all the rest on your list are NLCT coins.
There were MOR coins issued for 2012 and 2013, NO commemoratives were issued for circulation but there was a plethora of NCLT issues over this period.
Most of the circulation commemorative $1 coins are easily available in circulation but the grades are not flash.
The $2 coins got interesting in 2012 when the first circulation commemorative coin {Poppy} was minted and this year a colored purple coin was issued for circulation. These however are NOT easily available in circulation due to people hoarding and speculating with these coins, Which I feel is a real shame .
We call the coins 1 and 2 dollar coins because that is what they are, we do call both coins "Goldies" tho

The 1992 $2 I should be able to get for you out of circulation. The 2012 MOR coin is a low mintage coin and will be hard to find ( I gave away 5 2012 mint sets ) I'll hang onto what I have spare at the moment and when I find the others I will send them to you Mate

Trout Are you sure about the 2012 MOR $1 being issued? I thought there was discussion on 'another forum' about them not being issued and I have not found any while looking through $1 coins...

They weren't issued for circulation as far as I know but were issued in mint ,baby and world fair sets also in proof from the proof, baby proof and wedding sets. They are available but not a noodling option unless you are extremely lucky. I knew I should have kept a few but I got a lot of enjoyment giving the extra sets away

According to the last two RAM annual reports, no 2012 $1 coins have been minted for circulation.
life is a mystery to be lived not a problem to be solved
