I recently bought this lot of type 1 Standing Liberty quarters.
Do any of them look like a 1916?

All are 1917.

In my opinion, none of these are 1916s. The dead-giveaway for me is the rivets being very strong on the shield. Someone should have a picture comparing the 1917 and 1916 side-by-side. I had one, but have lost it.

If they are just 1917's what value do the type 1's normally have in this condition?

They are all 1917 unfortunately, and worth maybe a dollar above melt imho.

The star on the left side will be off the step on 1916's

Did not know that, Mikey07nj . I pulled up a couple of images from Heritage to compare side by side and it jumped out. So when the star is visible, it is another diagnostic.
