The coin appears cleaned in the images but most of these have been cleaned. The detail looks XF or darn close to it. If it graded problem-free then XF40 and maybe 45 if there's luster there.

I was curious because it's graded pcgs vf35, seemed alittle low in my opinion, but I'm new at this.

VF35 is fair if there's no luster. I had a very similar 1807 DBH that was also graded VF35 and I resubmitted it and it came back VF35. It looked like a 40 to me and PCGS is tough on the jump from 35 to 40 with this series. Your coin alos shows signs of an old, light cleaning that could hurt it a touch. Be happy with it as a beautiful piece of American history.

VF-35/XF-40 was my guess. The Reverse isn't really strong enough to make EF-45 although this could have graded XF-40 on a good day.

VF-35 seems fair.
