Ah christ, I hope it doesn't become popular. Its just not the done thing with ancients. Photo authentification and certification suffices.

I have seen them around on ebay before, even on the show Pawn Stars I've seen them send ancient coins to NGC.

I especially like the crack in the front of the slab over the temple area of the portrait. Lets you know the coin is wedged in nice and tight

There was a relatively new Pawn Stars episode where Rick sent in an ancient to PCGS. I wasn't really paying much attention at the time, but I think it came back authentic, not sure if it was graded. It turned out though that the coin was stolen, I believe.

Actually the weird thing was it came back fake but was in a slab. I don't even think NGC does that? They never showed the front label, grade or anything except the back of the slab.
