My mom called to ask me what I needed as she was sitting in front of the LCS. I rattled off my list of Morgan dollars I needed. I always try to mention a second series/type in case they don't have the coins I am looking for. Today I mentioned Seated half dimes. I knew off the top of my head I had two or three coins, and usually the LCS has a row in a display case full. Okay I'm getting to the good part-- she picked up 11 Half Dimes and one Morgan dollar. She bought every Half Dime that was in the case. 1839, 1848, 1848-O, 1853 with arrows (2), 1854 with arrows (2), 1856, 1857, 1857-O, 1858 The Morgan was an 1885-P in AU or so, it had a lot of luster. She said this was my Christmas present  -MV |

The only imaging device I have available right now is my scanner. I can try to do some scans until I get access to a camera. -MV These are scans, my apologies for the less than stellar quality.   Edited by MeadowviewCollector

 The others Half Dimes didn't scan too well. Here's the Morgan...the scanner didn't capture the luster so it appears dull in these photos. It's not cleaned.   Edited by MeadowviewCollector

Half Dimes are very cool little coins. I use to add one into other coin sales as a gift and everybody loved them! :)
