Hi there, as I wrote in the Roman subforum , a friend of my gave me a bag full of dirty (uncleaned) coins.

I managed to clean some of them.
The first one turned out to be Spanish Jetton.
How I'm wondering if any of the coins are roman at all.

The second one that I got cleaned (after 5 days in Olive Oil) is this one :

Unidentified-Coins

Thank you

This is an imitation Ottoman coin, sometimes called dancer's money. Look in the search box (top left of the page) for Imitation Ottoman. We see a lot of them.

This second one is definitely Late Roman. Emperor Licinius, Nicomedia mint, reverse type Jupiter IOVI CONSERVATORI I believe.
