Stopped into one of the local pawn shops today (as I do every Saturday) and found he had a huge bag full of 40%er Kennedy halves for right at spot. Only bought two (1967 is a proof, albeit impaired) but I'll probably go back on Monday and buy the rest. He also mentioned he had some bills and they were all silver certificates. Bought all $33 worth at face, plus a red seal $2 and a Hawaii $1 that has seen better days. Even though they aren't in the best condition, I just couldn't pass up getting them all at face. Just thought I'd share my little find for the week.    Edited by WheatBack

Yes, who wouldn't buy old bills at face value?  It's a shame the design hasn't changed very much because in Canada you can spend distinctively old bills and confuse the heck out of everyone. You make a profit in entertainment value  |
