molydeii Pillar of the Community Turkey 870 Posts	Posted 01/20/2014 5:42 pm No Ottoman coins similar to that one has been minted in late 1800's, to my knowledge. the Tugha looks like Ottoman though. To be an official coin, there needs to be a number Under The Tughra. after the breakdown of the empire, some ex-empire provincial rulers minted their own coins resembling Ottoman coins. or, it may be a local Penez (Ottoman token) Report this Post to the Staff
