1942 BU Nickel With Weird Cuts In Rim

I suspect that whatever happened to this coin, it happened after it was struck. if you look at the denticles it seems to me the denticles look like they were already there when it was cut. but it isn't circulated so it's like someone pulled it out of a mint roll like this. could it have been damaged before it left the mint? the obverse has a strange toning as well. so let's hear what you think. thedollarman Pillar of the Community Canada 4911 Posts	Posted 01/25/2014 9:21 pm These look like filing marks whick are PMD Not worth the $7,if you were informed these were rim nicks whichj they are not than I would want a refund, this coin to me is only worth melt. I also DONT think the toning looks natural but I could be wrong about the toning. Sorry for the bad news. Feel free to call me Will. I have had it for years and have always suspected PMD but never had the FORUM to discuss it before. for all the errors and varieties I have dug out of the junk bins for decades, I can take a $7. 00 loss. too bad someone ruined a nice 1942 nickel. so I guess you don't want to buy this one dollarman?
