As I have mentioned in a previous post, I have about 7 rolls of Mercury dimes. Should I sell them as rolls to my local coin shop or sell them individually?

It would largely depend on several factors. I buy a lot of coins and I know some will agree and disagree with me; but as a buyer this would be my prospective and what I use:
If the rolls are mint rolls and you are confident all the coins inside are MS+ then selling individually probably would be better.
If the end rolls show wear, chances are they are not mint rolls, in which case you might be able to sell them with the marketing catch of: "unsearched" roll. Some who like the gamble enjoy the thrill of feeling like they are searching through unclaimed territory (so to speak).
As a seller I do not sell rolls. Not out of any specific opposition to rolls, I just find it easier to sell individual coins. The problem as a seller (at least in my experience) when you sell rolls people have this hope that when they open them up there will be some super rare find in the middle; inevitably when there is not, they get disappointed and become unhappy customers. I do not like unhappy customers.

Not sure how to quote properly... I do not like happy customers Read your last sentence :) I assume (and hope) you meant unhappy customers :) As an ebay seller, it is vital to always keep customers happy, for keeping good feedback aswell as returning customers. If selling on ebay, I would not play the game of lucky dip, this will earn bad feedback as a fair amount of people give feedback as a reflection of there feelings on the purchase, rather than how you preformed as a seller. A while ago for instance, on a private account, I sold a new FIFA ps3 game. I got a negative because they didn't like the game? Good luck selling!

If they are circulated common date coins sell them by the roll for junk silver on Craigslist. If you have the time and a good variety of dates and mintmarks I would put a lot together of one each and sell them on ebay.

Selling anything in coins without really knowing what they are, is not to smart. Always look at them closely for anything of value. Then if you still want to sell them, do it on ebay. Selling to a dealer will get you the lowest possible price.

Definitely take a look at each coin and see what you have. If I wanted to make the most money out of them and had the time, I'd sell them on ebay, probably a few at a time or in small lots. Some people don't have the time to deal with that, so there are plenty of roll sellers also. Rolls are basically selling for about $20 or so, over spot. But don't forget ebay and paypal fees, so you won't end up with much over melt.

Lets first answer why are you selling them? Do you need the money? Want to buy something or trade for something?
If you need the money, then yes sell it here or craigslist so you don't have to worry about fees. If you want to get rid of them to acquire another coin, first try here and see if someone wants to trade. Sometimes you can come out ahead.

The first question is are the coins in a roll all of the same date and mint? If not, it is easier, simply because if you list too many similar items on ebay you temporarily flood the market. The question then becomes how many people need this particular coin today? But, if they are all different, wow! Someone can enjoy bidding of one after the other with the hope of winning some.
