He deserves a gold or platinium version, silver cheapens his achievements as a visionary/futurist/actor.
The reverse design can be interpreted as his thinking center, right between the eyes.(his nose and eye-glasses on the obverse make up the reverse design).
A well thought out design for the conceptual thinkers among us.

The coin was issued 20/1/2014. This year it will be just one 10 euro coin from state mint of Slovakia. Jozes Murgas was slovakian but he lived in U.S. a long time. Here is some information for american friends.
He contributed to wireless telegraphy. In 1905, Murgas achieved radio transmission between Wilkes-Barre and Scranton, Pennsylvania, distance of 20 miles (30 km).
The tone system is the use of two signals of different frequencies, i.e. Murgas substituted the "dot" of the Morse code with a higher tone and the "dash" with a lower tone (this is the 1904 patent "The way of transmitted messages by wireless telegraphy").
Thomas Edison paid remarkable attention to Murgas's experiments and he is said to have informed G. Marconi of Murgas's success. Murgas's lab in Wilkes-Barre was visited by President Theodore Roosevelt in 1905.

It is a very interesting coin indeed. For me, it has a little too much going on but I can see why people are attracted to it.

I like all coins. However, I'm not a big fan of coins with people's faces on them, regardless of who they are. Guess I'm a little tired of our US coins with a bunch of dead presidents on them. I really like the reverse of that one though. Even the Obverse is sort of different with all that line work, not just a person's face. Interesting coin. Never got used to the metric system so I had to translate the 34mm into inches so I could figure out how big it is.
