I remember pulling this note off from circulation a while ago, realizing that the serial number is offset a fair bit from the rest of the 10 dollars that I have seen. Is this normal? I don't normally collect banknotes as they become very expensive quickly...

They're not normally cut that far off-centre but I don't think they're considered valuable unless part of a design element has been cut off or something like that.
