Here is one I found in the register at work. It has no rim around it. It is completely symmetrical all the way around, as in the roundness is 100% perfect. Is this some error or something? Compared with a regular coin below (round is on right)

Then, some quarters I found which are 100% mirrored. They are not like regular ones that are really shiny. It's like an actual mirror. Are these worth anything besides F.V?

I am not sure about the first coins but, the second set of pictures are both PROOF coins! They were made using a special process and not intended for general circulation. The value of the second coins could be a few dollars each or more if they are the SILVER proof variety. To tell if they are silver, look at the rim of the coin....if you can see a copper strip then their CLAD but if it is a solid colour then they are SILVER!

NICE FINDS! CONGRATS!!

The one in question on top is just heavily circulated, it seems to me.

The ones on the bottom are proof quarters, and are usually worth a small premium over face unless they have been circulated (as these have been). Check the edge to see if they're silver, in which case they would be worth at least their value in silver. Nevertheless, they're definitely worth keeping, IMO, even if circulated! Nice finds!

Maybe the first coin came from an encasement.

Nice proofs! The first one looks just heavily circulated but I'm not sure.

Thanks for all the knowledgeable replies.

I also figured that one was from circulation but you never know.
The proofs also are not silver.
The reason I was a little unsure about that quarter was because of how perfectly done it was. Whereas i'd imagine regular circulation would be little imperfections here and there. But the rim of this thing is the same thinning around the entire rim.

Proof type coins get into circulation from many sources. Some are from kids getting into their parents coin collection and spending them as if just coins. Some come from home robberies. Some come from coin store or similar places that have been robbed. Usually robbers are not coin people so they just spend them as if normal coins.

Very nice finds on the proof quarters! Those are quite rare in circulation!

As for the first two, I'd say they are just heavily circulated or Dryer Coins. People forget coins in their pockets all the time when they go into the washer, and the combination of heat + rolling around in a dryer can do that to a coin.

The second coin has had its rims removed by filing, grinding, or scraping.
Time don't fly, it bounds and leaps.
