Can't tell which date it is? Can't tell if MM is double die. Is there anything to the A & R of America. And the T in United States.

Congratulations! You are the proud owner of a 1954-D Jefferson nickel! Might add that it appears to be well circulated, damaged, and no RPM on the MM... Some may argue for a Cud over the date, but I see it as just PMD (post mint damage) Sorry to dissapoint you.

Yep...1954-D, post mint damage. Good for a nickel anywhere in the U.S. :o)

It is a 1954 and is damaged.

By the way, there is no such thing as a mintmark doubled die. Either the design is a hub doubled die or the mintmark is repunched, but the terms are not interchangeable.
