Not nearly the gem the 1865 was but a scarce no drapery mint mark nonetheless

Couple that with the variety which, is the only Medium "O" of all 1840-O die pairings (F-106a,) and that adds a 50% premium over price guide per the experts of the series. Medium "O" MM is very difficult to locate.

This coin is #16 on the Top 100 Varieties List

VF35 due to the weakness of the reverse; otherwise I'd give it XF40. Neat coin!

i love when you guys are so money on the grade

weak strike is correct and this single die pairing is well known for this issue to display the legend that way on the reverse
