This date seems very elusive and costs a lot in high grade. I liked this example which looks original and problem-free to me. What grade do you think she deserves?

I think it deserved to go to a reputable TPG and let the pros do their thing.

As far as the grade goes, The letters look a little light, so I am at VF-35

The grade here would be heavily luster dependent IMO. I'd call it XF40 from the images but could go as low as VF35 with no luster or possibly as high as AU50 with excellent luster. It is an XF coin to me either way though. Nice one Jaobler!

I'd guess VF-30 though I am inexperienced with Seated dollars.

I think it goes XF40. Little luster still around. Nice

Umm.. I don't see why those scratches on the obverse would get this a details grade but they would definitely bump it down a notch. So I'll say XF-40 but with those around VF-35.
Rest in Peace

I think I like it at XF40. TPG's seem to understand this one's usually softly-struck on the eagle's right wing.

ICG was a little more generous than most CCF graders. The coin retains a lot of prooflike luster and surfaces appear original and hairline-free. The sharpness of LIBERTY on Seated dollars seems only loosely related to grade, but that feature is sharper on this piece than on my 1872-S dollar which is likewise graded XF-45 (by PCGS). I'm happy with the assigned grade and I'm very pleased to have added this date to my collection.

Very nice grade from ICG. My guess would have been VF-35/XF-40.

EF-45 seems reasonable.
