Tough coin in any grade. An example with a lesser reverse but slightly-better obverse CAC'd at VF-30, which is what I'm offering this one. Wish the images were slightly brighter.

Quote: Wish the images were slightly brighter. I do too on the obverse. Its still at PCGS right now but the grades in. Its a dark coin but that pictures really not doing the obverse justice. Hasnt been to CAC yet but should be making the trip soon

I'd send it if it's 30 or lower.

Quote: I'd send it if it's 30 or lower. Without giving it away completely it is in the vf letter range. I've got some others going anyway so itll tag along. Maybe a picture in its old scratched up slab would help more for the obverse.

Yeah, I like the shield a lot better in that one. I worry less about the hair than the shield with these.

I'm gonna say VF30 with a real shot at 35.

VF35 Stronger obverse IMO
F-101b Thick "O" mm The measurement of the mm, Rt H (right high) and the die crack coming from the tip of AME(R)ICA into the rim are the diagnostic points. Unless I'm making my eyes see it, I do see the slightest disturbance of a die crack under all the patina coming from that "R"
