AU Details I believe PCGS would detail this coin for the scratch through the 5 in the date and into the field, it looks deep and it obstructs a major point of interest, the date.
As to some other points I like the weak almost missing "S" on the reverse in States, probably caused by a
Grease Filled Die. There is some good Longacre's doubling going on around the reverse lettering as well. The strike is only average, with hints of weakness around the reverse wreath, and the lower leaves on the obverse. Though that could be caused by the
Grease Filled Die possibly, and I could see this coin receiving a Details Uncirculated grade just as easily. If it's not a details grade then PCGS dropped the ball on this one, never crack it out, as I doubt the coin would pass through a clean grade at any of the three TPGs again due to the obverse damage.
A nice looking 2¢ piece, other than the damaged area, which albeit, is quite small, too bad it happened on a main PUP. The color and wood grain look nice, and the surfaces seem original and not cleaned.

I'll go ahead and say it does not have a details grade associated with it.
Now I see it is NOT a details grade!

Okay then my point about never cracking out really applies. I'll guess they went MS63BN? To me that scratch would take a minimum of 30% off and probably closer to 40% off the price of a piece without the damage.
