The most common circumstance for this is to ask: 'Do you agree or disagree with the TPG?' I think it is much harder to offer an opinion on a coin that has already been slabbed. The plastic gets in the way, and the coin is hard to photograph fairly. That is certainly the case here. I have noticed that the fine bar detail on Shield nickels can be variable on a nominated grade; in my opinion, that makes them harder to grade. I agree with the grading opinions in this case. oih82w8 Pillar of the Community United States 7840 Posts	Posted 02/07/2014 8:04 pm Good points sel_69l, The OP image is taken by PCGS before it is placed into the slab, so it is the most accurate image available. The whole slab image was taken by me to portray the grade and variety given by PCGS. The only time the coin is graded while in the slab is if it is being considered for crossover, that I am aware of.
