Hi all I have a question about the delivery date that's posted on E-Bay. I bought a few items with combined shipping being from the same seller. When I purchased the items, it had that the delivery date would be Feb 7, 2014. So, the 7th came and went, with no package delivery. I checked on the purchase and the delivery date has been changed to Feb 14, 2014. Is this normal? An item I bought after that purchase was delivered yesterday. Not from the same seller.

Check the tracking on the item for the most accurate. The posted dates are ebay doing a calculation from the sellers stated shipping time frame and type of package. If the seller follows it its usually fairly accurate, but if they have one day handling time and take several days to ship itll be off. The new posted date may be a reflection of the system updating according to the tracking number information from the post office.

did you change your address after you placed a bid? I know another auction site records the "ship to" address when you make a bid.

I've changed it to my current address in every place it could be changed, including the final page for finalising the purchase. There was one page that had my old address in three catagories. 1 for default address, 1 for shipping address, and one for billing (I think). Changed them all.
So what happens next? I was trying to contact the seller to find out what can be done, and by following the "contact seller" it made me file a report. All I was wanting to know was if it got sent back to him. If so, I would pay shipping again to get my purchase. It wouldn't be his fault afterall. I didn't just cause him trouble by filing a report did I?

If you opened a case against him you likely caused him trouble. You should have the ability to communicate freely now though and can explain it all.
Unless they changed it though you can close the case without causing trouble for him. It you mark it resolved it doesn't count against sellers any more.

Yeah, I wasn't trying to cause trouble. I looked all over for another way to contact him directly and couldn't find any other way. I was surprised that it said I opened a case. Why would it go to that when clicking on contact seller?

I think thats something new they put in where it automatically opens one for some reason. Itd be better not being automatic but I'm sure a lot of people were complaining it was too hard to do

I did see where it said if I close the case or mark it as resolved or do nothing by a certain date it will not reflect negative towards the seller. I've left two messages for him, so we'll see what happens.
