Howdy all! Well, with my new job I have the option to work at home. But why do that when I can work while behind the counter of a coin shop? A dream come true!! Here is the situation - I'm returning to my small hometown after traveling the US, gaining lots of experience, meeting great people, and earning a couple of college degrees. When looking for office space downtown, I happened to notice that the old realty office had closed. It was right on the main corner of downtown in a historic old building. Come to find out, this building is where my great-grandaddy had the bank back in the 1940s. He was a numismatist and the coin collection he left behind is what got me started in coin collecting. My great aunt, who just celebrated her 88th birthday, had her first job inside Grandaddy's bank. I got the landlord's contact info from a neighbor, and gave her a call. Wouldn't you believe her son is someone I had met previously. He showed me the inside of the building, and it was obvious it was getting prepped for a renovation. I was bummed until he told me they were willing to build-to-suit. So, I not only have Grandaddy's old bank - but I get to remodel it the way I want. The ceilings, walls, floors, bathroom, etc. The arched windows are the originals, with the original glass panes. They are wavy with bubbles in them. Currently, remodeling is underway. I'll post here with pictures of the progress!

Congrats!
Classic arched windows. That is going to make a very inviting store front.
Good luck, look forward to the updates.

All the very best. Nice touch to have a store that has been in the family. Love the big windows. But my question is about security with such windows? Or is it that I just do not understand the bigger picture. Like the 7 hungry "Pit Bulls" that are not in these images. Very Interesting.kg5

OK, what came in that huge Adoroama box?
This is too cool, and I wish you all the best with it. Are you going to publicize the location when the time comes, so any members we have in the area can patronize you?
