I am new to hunting for errors, and I came across this.

I was going through a few bank rolls of 1989-d pennies and this one stood out. compared to others with out loop the d was barely visible and under the loop looks very different.

I added this regular picture I got off a google to the right to show the difference. all though to the eye the d is barely visible and looks only like the inside part.

what would this be considered if anything?

I dont really know the terms but from searching I think it might be considered Incuse Die Deterioration Doubling or incuse ( DDD) or not?
I don't know just looking for some expert input. I just started collecting and searching for errors is fun.

I would lean towards Die Deterioration and lots of die polishing.

The location of the mint mark reminds me of a cent I have in a mint set.

The image is blurry as I didn't take it out of the cello. But the location looks the same for the mint marks.

It is a deteriorated die,aka worn die with a low MM.No added value. As long as the MM is below the date the mint says it's ok.
