I just picked the circulated 1910-s for $10 I wanted to check to see if I made the right grading guess?

Mind you I only been collecting coins a little over a month.

And I still have not got the grading down enough to be confident on writing anything on a 2x2 yet.

I want to compare your grading to mine if you could explain the reasoning behind any of it I would be grateful as I am learning more from this forum and reading websites. I went to my local coin club meeting and its only a once a month auction. I didn't learn anything.

So my first attempt at grading is a F12?

I agree with F-12. Plenty of ear hole and indent at forehead along with lines in wheat straw.

I'll go F-12 as well. I think you did pretty good on the price.

A 1910-S in Fine usually goes for about $18.

Great Thanks Everyone, I was hoping my first stab grading would be close. I was figuring it was a deal in my head the $10 seamed slightly lower the fair market value which is 14.95 for my guess at the grade, so resell value of $18-25 dollars. I just wanted to make sure I did need it just thought it was a good deal.

Nice! I'm gonna go VG10. It's hard to see if there is any cheek and jaw separation because of the lighting and the wheat lines look a bit muddy but maybe it's just the resolution of the photo. If those were more evident I'd be solid at F-12. Great pick up for $10!

Nice find Ocala.

Is your coin club close to lake county? If it's ok to ask. If not, Sorry.
