First and foremost; let me thank you in advance for your time and assistance. I'm doing my best to learn this stuff but I find that I've already made a couple of mistakes and am trying not to do so again.
I found this penny in a roll and it has, what appear to be, a couple of Cuds on it. One is on the liberty and the other on the Date/Mintmark.
A Cud is a special die break that involves the rim so your coin does not have Cuds. The areas in question on your coin are die chips. They are very common on wheat cents. Welcome to the forum and post some more coins.
Keep in mind that the dies they used on cents in the 1950's were over used. Creating strange looking coins. The BIEs, "So Called" doubled dies that were just extreme die wear. I see a couple of die chips on the coin areas you mentioned.
You can tell this one has been in a collection or hoard for a long time. This would have been picked by a error collector by now if it wasn't. That chip on the date is one of the bigger die chips I have seen on a Wheat cent. The one on the E is not in a usual location either.
