I would very much appreciate you grading opinions, and any other information about this Half Dime.

Thank you!

VF30

what information are you curious about?

Its a first year "with drapery" issue out of New Orleans

its a rare coin with a rating of 8.0 and only 100 known survivors according to coin facts. if yours is a VF30, its a $400 coin. It could even go VF35. I would send that in for slabbing so you have better future resale value.

Thank you dsfreeworld, that is the precisely the kind of information I was hoping to get. I will need to look into coin facts.

I am trying to determine which coins in my collection are worth getting slabbed. Most were bought raw in the 80's and 90's, and thinking about the future, it seems beneficial to encapsulate the most valuable ones.
PCGS and NGC are now present in Europe, and they attend the Frankfurt Numismata coin show in November - that would be the time to submit them.

no worries sir

yes, slab that coin and if you make the grade we all think you will than you have a nice problem free rarity of American Coinage and with so few on the market in PCGS slabs in "affordable" grades as well as even seen for sale, you could probably get near $500USD for that good looking gal.

I love early Seated coinage :-) Having said that, I agree, VF30 seems like a good grade. Nice coin!

That's one you don't see everyday. I'd really like a close look at the reverse, but from what I can see - a solid VF-30.
