I've encountered a glut of new coins recently, all from B of A. Today, I got my 4th cent box of the week and it was all 14D's. Disappointed, I went back (to a different branch) for nickels. Guess what: all 13D's. So, instead of searching, I'm writing this post. I know some sell these on ebay, but I've never sold on ebay. I checked and saw that some 2013d nickel rolls went for 3+ each (plus about 3-4 shipping). What would you do? Hold? Dump? Try to sell? Search? Thanks

If you can get more than face on ebay, I would at least try to sell them. If no one buys them, than dump them.

My opinion is that they are not worth holding on to. The mintages are so high that anyone who collects them will be able to find as many as they want. When you get enough posts, you might try to trade them for some something you need with those of us who can't get the "D" mint coins in our area.

When I first looked at the title, I was thinking 1914d and 1913d. I didn't even think 2014d and 2013d

Quote: When I first looked at the title, I was thinking 1914d and 1913d. As did I! Upon learning the truth, I think I am even more taken aback by the reality that the 1914-D cent is 100 years old now!

I recently sold a box of 2014 D's on ebay for $50 plus shipping. It sold within hours. I would recommend posting at $60+ if that's the route you choose. Be careful though as I made a huge mistake. I included the box in my listing and didn't think much of it and took USPS workers advice to break the box and send in 2 flat rate boxes since the box probably wouldn't ride in one piece. Buyer was upset (rightfully so), but I'm sending him the box per his request to make things right. Just be careful.

when I got a box of 2013 P nickels last year they were in those darned plastic shrinkwrap type rolls. Well I started just taking them to the grocery, putting gas in the car, wasn't too hard to spend them as it was only $100 and 2 or 3 rolls here or there adds up, or subtracts away as the case may be.

Let's ask the OP, are you trying to CRH for older coins? With a yes, you need to change your method. Tell the banks you want older coins either customer wraps or fed wraps ( meaning Brinks or other type wraps.) Their names are not hitting me now. This can help you out if your are searching. Build up a communication with those who can help you

I say search. Keep a couple unopened rolls. Search the rest for high grade and for errors and varieties. Good luck. John1

If you want to get rid of some of them, see if anyone here wants to trade rolls for rolls or the like. Provided you have enough posts for that. And dump the rest. I have an entire box of 2013P nickels I am taking to the coin counter today. I saved several rolls early on in the year. Same for the pennies. Have not really found a ton of dime rolls for 13 though.
