Hey all...its time to fill the 1950 D hole in my Dansco 8140! This is one of the candidates at the top of my list so far from ebay. Initially I don't really like the contact marks on George's cheek on the obverse, but other than what I do like is the strike is strong for both sides especially the reverse strike for this date and mint. On the reverse the leaves above "AR" in the word DOLLAR are strong and even have edges to them and the tail feathers are nice and strong, usually both of these deteils can be really mushy. Goin for MS63-Ms64 for the best price. What are your thoughts.

As a collector of Washingtons, this 1950 quarter is a beauty. I think MS64 easily. Thanks for sharing

In truth, I'd be a bit afraid of those marks on the cheek. They're large enough to alter the lighting transition from bright to dark on a straight line.

The cheek worries me a bit, but the rest of the coin looks amazing. I'd say 64

I also think there may be more chatter on that cheek than the photo suggests. Unless the seller is really trying to hide something I think it will turn out to be a nice 63. Hope you post more pics when the coin is in hand!

Came in the mail today...I'm pretty happy with it for the price. Fits right in in the album. The dings on the cheek aren't as bad as the pic from ebay, but they are there. Hopefully the new pics show it off better.

This is a prime example of light sources masking flaws. Yours unintentionally masked the cheek but highlighted the bust. The seller's masked both. MS62 @ most.

I'm gonna say MS 62 also. I've been collecting these for two yrs. I've got two coins left for my dansco album. The cheek and neckline marks are enought to downgrade it to MS 62. The rest of the coin rates a higher grade. So maybe it would grade better at a TPG. Hard saying
