Hi all, I'm new here and I need a coin identified, I cant post any images at the moment but I can give some details of it.
Although the coin is extremely dented and faded, some features are still visible, these include:
Britannia on reverse facing left, very centred and nearly up to the edge Head is what seems to be a male with a large round nose, facing right, directly to the left is the letter O followed by a possible R or E.
I know this isn't much help but I will be posting images later, Thanks for any help :)

Sounds like a George III farthing to me, I love old Brittish coinage. Although It could be a colonial farthing. George IIIcoins have many different bust types so finding out the approximate age should be relatively easy. Hope this is useful.

Thanks all, its about 2.8cm, I dont think its pre 1800, and there is signs of a laurel wreath on his head, so most likely a George III farthing, there is no date at all on it unfortunately.

If you need any help uploading images here's what I use. Picasa for my editing, either take a picture with a camera or my favourite option is the scanner. Then use tinypic to change your image into a message board friendly image. If you need any help with that, let me know. Your coin will have an identity in no time, I think :D. It does sound very much like George iii , if you can weigh it somehow that would definitely help-go to your local post office and use their scales :D. You see I was just reading up about some coins that were donated too Notre Dame in 1887 that were counterfeits, you may have something cool their. @thai-vic, I did some research and her hand is down instead of being held up, so I think its somewhere between 1775 and 1820. @Fuzzy317, thats what I thought but, the half penny is slightly larger by afew millimeters, I did some research and I couldnt find any half pennys that looked the same. @awallin01, Ill scan it in when I get home, and get a weight. Thanks all
