The high value/demand key dates are tough to get a good deal on, and possibly the average ebay photos helped out on this one. The PCGS links to 2 previous Heritage Auctions showed much better pics. I really like the solid VDB. Bought it for less than either of the last 2 Heritage auctions.

Thanks all. Haven't been working too long on the set, maybe 6 months. My collecting fire was rekindled as my son has reached his formative years. Only dreamed of this coin as a kid when it was selling for a whopping $100.

Congratulations on a fine accomplishment. The VDB cents are among our favorite coins! (Where have I heard that name before?)

Best Regards,

George

CONGRADULATIONS.
Hopefully you really didn't mean FOLDER. If so I recommend changing all those to an Album. There are numerous Albums out there and although rather way more costly than a Folder, lots safer for the coins.

Funny, it is actually a folder. Not a very high grade collection, but I do have a album I will switch them to. Thanks for the suggestion

Nice coin. Great price is correct: PCGS Price Guide: $925. It was in a Heritage Auction on 9/7/2011 and went for $920.
