This is my first large cent purchase. Picked it up for $20 on ebay. Just based on a little research, it looks to be at least F-12 to me (with a few dings and scratches), but you guys may know more. What grade would you give to the coin and my purchase?

I would say VF-25 Details. You did well for $20. Though personally wouldn't have bought a problem specimen.

Yeah, I hear you on that. Might not be a permanent piece of my collection. Hoping that if I do choose to sell, I'll make a buck or two.

VF25 Details is about right. $20 wasn't bad for the amount of detail.
