Kudos if you can pick this grade. I'd never seen one graded like this previously but I've only really been collecting about a year. I bet that will leave a few of you guessing. Answers (Grades) will go up towards the end of the week to give all who want to a chance to have a go. Enjoy. I'll try to put some up from my second submission later in the week as well.

MS63PL, although 64 is possible.

I'm seeing too much evidence of "wear" on the high points. This one's AU58PL. Quite uncommon for an AU coin to qualify as PL, but not unknown.

I think it's just stacking wear, or rub from other coins in an old plastic coin tube, not actual rub or light circulation wear, I'd go MS63 with a slim chance at a PL designation.

This one is a tough call from a static photo. It's either an AU slider or MS62 for me.

65 DMPL. I see some marks in the fields but I think the effects of digital photography and the proof-like fields over emphasize them. I don't know if I'm seeing a lot of random reflected light or hazy fields. I'll go out on a limb and stick at 65 DMPL.

Reading OP's text again I'm starting to think SD is right.

Since the OP states this is a grade not seen often, It may be one like I have - AU DMPL graded. Mine is in an old ANACS small white slab, I don't think the TPG's slab many coins AU DMPL any more.

If it were mine coin, I'd be hoping for a 63PL.
Gun to my head, 61PL.

It's obvious, from your pics at VAMworld. Here's one for you: Keep in mind, during this slab era ANACS was considered the toughest of the TPG's on PL/DMPL. That must have been one amazing coin from the Mint.

gweidion - Your 1883-O sure looks a lot better than this one of mine! I hope yours graded a lot better than than mine (below)! After I looked at it again, I think it has a better shat at PL than slim, maybe even a DMPL! Looking forward to seeing what they gave your 1883-O. Quote: SsuperDdave my 1887o VAM42 discovery was graded by ANACS as AU55PL Thats the lowest I've ever seen Lol I'll go there! Here is my 1891-P AU50 DMPL - It really has super mirrors in the fields but over time this coin has toned quite ugly, it was only a light edge tone when I picked it up. I got this coin as part of the trade to Larry Briggs for my 1878-S long nock that became the discovery coin for VAM72. I know the 1891 can be tough to find in a full DMPL and this coin has it, unfortunately not in MS. But then it would be worth a ton more $$$ Also these are some old photos and not my best work for sure. I will try and go back and reshoot this one soon, to see if I can capture just how mirrored the coin really is. I really should just crack and dip it, but it will never make it back into a DMPL holder today. As I said gweidon's coin is much prettier than this old beat up gal of mine, and the cameo maybe pretty close under all the toning on mine. I've got to change my grade guess to AU55 DMPL now. Hope I'm not too far out there. This has been one of the more challenging Morgans I've seen here at CCF to grade from a photo, so kudos to gweidon for making us think on it!
