It looks a little small and not clear. Not sure if it's the real deal or not. The seller has a good rating, but you never be too careful.

Don't bother. You can assume the coin is genuine, but that's as far as it goes. The seller is a master at bringing out the "best" in their images, whether the resulting look is enhanced or not. They have a large and loyal following always willing to overpay for their stuff. For this coin, stop for a moment and look closer at the southwest corner of the reverse/northeast corner of the obverse....

I knew exactly who the seller is without even looking based on SsuperDdave's comments.

According to PCGS THE OFFICIAL GUIDE TO COIN GRADING AND Counterfeit Detection: On both the 1932-D & 1932-S, the mint mark will sometimes appear to be sitting on a lake or, in another instance in a hole. When this effect is encountered in combination with the other confirming characteristics, the coin is conclusively genuine. The absence of this puddle or "hole" effect does not condemn a coin, but the presence of one or the other helps confirm its authenticity. maybe some overdone photoshop tweaks

If you are unsure about authenticity then wait for a slabbed one from PCGS, ANACS or NGC.

Honestly its a search I do all the time to see prices and see what this coin is doing. I'm not yet in the market for this coin yet...that one's on the wait list. I've actually tried to purchase from this ebay seller before, and in fact, I won auction on a late late Friday night. One of those auctions you check as you're heading for the pillow. It was a *nice* coin and I won it for a song and dance. Being so late and wanting to go to sleep, I figured I'd wait till Saturday morning to pay for it. Come Saturday morning the coin was no longer in my purchased items and the auction showed as "seller canceled." I called the guy out on it and he gave me some story about the listing being a mistake on their part, and that they had listed it as an D but in actually it was a P. He told me he didn't want me to be disappointed, so he cancel the auction instead of shipping me the coin I paid for. Mind you he didn't send me any kind of note or anything...just canceled the auction. When I told him that I suspected that they hadn't made a mistake, and that he just canceled the auction in order to not let a nice coin go for too low a price, he told me I was entitled to my opinion. LOL. Oh well. I've not purchased anything else from this seller since. Again the mint mark just stood out to me so I figured I'd ask y'all.

phankins11, That's an amazing story. I would never buy a coin form those folks anyway due to their photo enhancements, but that just takes the cake. As much $ as they make....really?
........if I had won the coin as inexpensive as you said, I would have paid immediately.

It's genuine. Quote: They have a large and loyal following always willing to overpay for their stuff. Could not have said it better.
