The family owned the very rural general store / post office / telegraph office for years going back generations. When they could afford to they put away a special coin every now and then. We also had family in Boston and they traveled there a lot. Sadly the real treasures are long gone, my oldest brother got them and I believe spent them at face back in the 70's. I have several old copper and brass coins that were of no interest to him. I don't remember much but I know there were Canadian and American silver dollars from the late 30's through to the late 60's. Pre war stuff.... If I find some time I'll post some pictures of the coins that I've saved. Liverpool Report this Post to the Staff
